Mansfield Native, Dr. Emily Exten, Joins Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center – Richland Source

MEDINA – Orthopaedic surgeon, Emily Exten, M.D., has joined Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center’s Medina and Montrose locations. She is accepting new patients.

A Mansfield native, Dr. Exten is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in foot and ankle conditions, including fractures; plantar fasciitis; deformities of the toes, foot or ankle; tendinitis; arthritis; and sprains. She graduated from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton.

Dr. Exten completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and a foot and ankle fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin and Marquette University in Milwaukee.

She has practiced medicine since 2007. Since that time, Dr. Exten has volunteered on medical mission trips, where she treated patients in Nicaragua and Belize. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Foot and Ankle Society.

Crystal Clinic’s Medina location, at 4975 Foote Road, Ste. 100, will serve as Dr. Exten’s “home” office.

Here, patients can receive outpatient assessment, treatment and post-surgical care for all types of orthopaedic injuries and conditions, along with physical and occupational therapy to help relieve pain, regain range of motion, and return to daily activities.

The Montrose clinic, at 3975 Embassy Parkway, Ste. 102, offers the same services as Medina, as well as Crystal Clinic QuickCare, which provides immediate care for orthopaedic and sports-related injuries.
